Hi Els:  Unfortunately I think I am the only living member of my biological family now and it will probably remain that way at my age, LOL. Rather long story how I ended up over here but will keep it short. I was invited to do a ‘one’ concert on the Native American Flute in Scotland at an International Folk Festival in the early 1990s. A wonderful colorful fellow by the name of ‘Danny Kyle’, whom I met through Pete Seeger at a Folk Music conference in Washington, DC asked me if I would be interested in doing some music in Scotland. They flew me from California to Scotland. I did that Festival and received a request from the famous ‘Sand’s music family in Ireland to do the same at the Fiddler’s Green International Folk Festival to perform at the Hall of Fame Concert. Next thing I know is that requests were coming in from all over Europe starting with Belgium. Europe has worked my ‘butt’ off ever since then from the tip of Italy all the way up to Norway, etc. and then points East, etc. I’m still here, LOL.

I met my future wife ‘Kerstin’ while doing a concert in Bad Frankenhausen, Germany; we married a year later (in 2001) and settled in Germany, which is her traditional home. She didn’t want to move to America and I will not take her away from her friends and people here. I legally adopted her daughter ‘D’ as a teenager and ‘D’ is now getting ready to work on her PhD. in Hamburg, Germany. That is pretty much it in a nutshell. This is my second tour of Europe; the other was in the very early 1960s as a Folk Singer and Blues Guitarist. It was also my first physical contact with the ‘Roma’ after meeting a small group of them while hitch hiking in Southern France. They were heading for Spain to what they said was their ‘Wintering Grounds’. I think the ‘English’ speaking one said something about Bad Loma, Spain or something like that. That was over 50 years ago. How time fly’s when you are having fun.

I have no opinion concerning Obama; I’m an Artist and Musician. Meeting real ‘down to earth people’ has more truthful value. I find politics, in general, very boring and deceptive for the most part.

Have a beautiful day,

‘Sky’

Hi Els,

Thanks for your comment! In reality you also invited us at the same time as Viola, but I saw it after!

Yes it's a mix of many influences we have, but we love gypsy music, that's why is so present in our songs!

Did you know we have a Dutch trumpet player in the band? He is Paul Hagenaar! Great guy! :)

It's a great work this organization is doing, so we're pleased to be members a supporters!

We keep in touch!

Best regards

Thanks, Els. I wholeheartedly agree with your point about children and how important it is to provide them with the opportunity to have a decent future.

Did you know that children who grow up in institutions are 10 times more likely than their peers to be involved in prostitution, 40 times more likely to have a criminal record and 500 times more likely to commit suicide?

Thank you very much for your support.
