DESIGN REQUIRED FOR UK HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL

  The Government-appointed Holocaust Commission

is scheduled this year to erect a permanent Memorial

to victims of the European Nazi regimes of the Second

World War.  It will be located in the Victoria Gardens,

close to Parliament in central London.

Although both the Government and the Commission itself

have turned a deaf ear to requests that Roma representatives

be appointed to the Commission, and its successor the

Holocaust Memorial Trust, UK equality legislation requires

that a public contract such as that pending for the design

of the Monument, should be open to artists of every

nation, ethnicity and gender.

Should there be within the Khetanes  collective any

artist who would like to enter the design competition

please reply to this email. Your interest will be conveyed

to the Commission with our endorsement.
