I write to let know about plans for the Jubilee World Roma Congress taking place in London next summer [1-5 August]. For the first time it will be possible for all members of our communities (over 16) to vote electronically in the elections in connection with this Congress, and whosoever wishes to stand as Candidates.

Democratic Transition will bring greater legitimacy and accountability and a democratic process allowing all to participate and work together for better recognition of the Roma Nation and the defeat of "anti-Gypsy" racism.

Now you may be enrolled as a Voter (if you wish to be for more information or to be removed  email  Romvote@gmail.com

    Dear esteemed artist,

    ...

Creative artists, musicians, singers, you have always been
in the vanguard of the Roma Nation. You have contributed so much in keeping our spirit and culture alive, and moving forward.

It is my please to write to you about the Democratic
Transition, a work-in-progress to build democracy within
    the global Romani movement.

The concept was born three years ago at a meeting between
myself and Petar Antic while he was attending Essex University
    in my home town, Colchester.

Petar, previously a junior minister in the Serbian Government,
had been chiefly instrumental in the building of an Electorate
of 60,000 Roma voter who now each year elect the Roma National Council of Serbia.

We saw that with the latest technology it would be possible to
create an IT electronic voting system. This has now been
accomplished using blockchain security. The capacity is
100,000 Voters, and 2,300 Voters have already enrolled.

They will have the opportunity to vote in the very first elections,
in connection with the Jubilee World Roma Congress in London
next year [1-5 August], which will open with 2 August Roma
Genocide Commemoration, in a park next to Parliament, and
    will include a Festival.

Every person in our communities of 16 years and over has
    a) right to Vote, b) right to be a Candidate in the Congress
    Elections.

Wishing to extend this right and opportunity to you I have
provisionally entered your email address into the Voting system.
You will in due course receive more information as plans for
    the Congress progress.

I hope that you will feel that the building of democracy,
bringing more legitimacy and accountability, is a process in which you would wish to participate.

    Devlesa
