Lament over the tale

The film “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs – Šangaj as New York” is a special experience in my artistic world. It is above all a film, an experimental, artistic and documentary film with a very specific artistic concept. It is
impossible to tear one away from the impressions without noticing that it is a
film of FLOW OF CONSCIOUSNESS. “Snow
White and the Seven Dwarfs” is a continuation of “Little Red Riding Hood” that
had its international promotion at the FID Marseilles Festival in 2009.

The Film “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” is created to show the strange life in the ghetto in details, with the help of clear ars poetica based on the script of the Grimm Brothers. This concept I have created with the help of images of bread,
flour, post stamps, items meant for the dustbin, salt, graphic sheets. This
kind of leading the structure and ars
poetica is a special experience for me and a positive visual shock.

So, the recipe I am dealing with has a rather unique and “strange” genre label and through it the cleared emotions are refracting. I am using events from the recent past, I am giving fairy tale characteristics to
the heroes who are warned as ordinary people but they also share their vision
of the world. Intercultural space, shock from being bombed and the numeric code
of the streets are common points that I find between Šangaj and New York and I provide a
possible module for making models.

The tale becomes a real story about destructing ordinary people, a story about racism, about growing fascism, about ideologies, geopolitics. Actually, on the basic level the film has a story, the heroes are
clearly presented just as their conflicts, dilemmas and choices.
