"Oh, how beautifully the forest rustles for us-
sings me songs.
How beautifully the rivers flow,
they fill my heart with joy.
How delightful to behold the water deep
and to tell her everything.
Because no one can understand me,
only the forests and streams.
What I'm telling here it has all long passed
and took everything, everything with it-
and my younger years.'

Dear Elisa,
Unfortunately IRWA is hardly active anymore, though it had a quite good start and several important writers. On this site you will find under Who is Who is a list of writers and poets, most of them being Roma.
It is summer in Europe, which somehow explains the current silence. In September many more people will become active on this site and perhaps it might be a good idea to turn your groupe into an instrument that unites the Roma writers again.
But baxt thaj sastipe!

"And HERE I am singing.
"A poet is always a brother of wind and water:
leaves his pace wherever he goes.
"I come from far away and I go far
but searched the floor for signs of my way
and saw nothing, because herbs have grown and snakes walked."

Anyone headed to the 9th International Writers Festival in India this year 9-10 NOV 2013?
Hi thanks for the invite Els
Thank you, Yvonne, for this great review. Ruth will be happy with it! She is Khetanes member, but I believe she has difficulties in joining this group (Major Group Literature). That also goes for some others, important writers and translators as well. I hope they will soon manage. Niko Rergo is working on his Romano Bibliography, a huge and important work!
Have a nice day,
Els
P.S.: Maybe we could create extra pages within this group for publishing reviews. What about that? I know that Rabbi Galina Trefil is interested in this.
That sounds like a good idea.
