"...the water does not look behind
It flees, runs farther away
Where eyes will not see her,
the water wanders..."

"Oh, how beautifully the forest rustles for us-
sings me songs.
How beautifully the rivers flow,
they fill my heart with joy.
How delightful to behold the water deep
and to tell her everything.
Because no one can understand me,
only the forests and streams.
What I'm telling here it has all long passed
and took everything, everything with it-
and my younger years.'

Latcho Krechuno, Elisa!

Your Group on Literature has made a nice start and I am sure that many more writers, poets and story tellers are going to join in 2014!

Soon Niko Rergo will publish about the Bibliography that he and his daughter have created: a huge work that gives full information on works published in the entire world.

Baxtalo Nevo Bersh 2014! Good health, much joy and friendship!

Maybe there should be a tutorial for subscribing ... I sometimes get lost in the pages!

Dear Elisa,

There are signing up manuals to enter Khetanes as a new member (in different languages). For the site itself, there are none. Once you are on the website after logging in and have clicked on e.g. Literature, things are not so difficult. You see all the options: send message to group, discussion forum etc. Also: add a page (e.g. for publishing book reviews).

I agree that getting there for some people is difficult. We simply have too many groups in total. Some are hardly visited, but I find it difficult to delete them. I don't want to insult the members that created them.

Literature is one of our most important groups, but still many people (members of Khetanes!) are missing. See under the tab Who is Who and check writers and poets: this group could be 3 times as big. The only solution is inviting people to join. It takes time and... patience.

Kind regards, Els

FOR ROMA AND SINTI AUTHORS:

Also Roma authors are welcome: A new series of fiction books

LIBERTAS - European Institute GmbH, the mother house of European Union Foreign Affairs Review whose Chief Editor Hans-Jürgen Zahorka is also the Ombudsman of Budapest-based Roma Education Fund (REF), wants to launch now a new series of fiction books, e.g. with short stories, which should be - if necessary - translated into German, or English or French. Until now, the Press + Publication Division of LIBERTAS has only published literature on European and international governance and economy. For the new series, contributions from Roma authors (worldwide) are very much welcome - the publishers want to place Roma books on a par with e.g. Russian, Canadian, Romanian etc. books. "People should get it in their mind that Roma are de facto a nation like everyone else belongs to his country. This has to be made clear with the help of cultural activities - like these books", it was declared by LIBERTAS. The books may be edited e.g. like "Short Stories from the Roma in Bulgaria" (just one example). The publisher wants texts in particular from young authors.

See more details on the blog page of LIBERTAS - European Institute: http://libertasblogs.wordpress.com/2014/02/15/new-series-of-fiction...

How is the roma song made? by Kujtim Paçaku

Take a handful of pain
Add a few teardrops!
And a bit of dust of endless roads
A little fragrance of forgotten seasons
At the end
You add hot spices of love
And put several stars on top
And leave it bake
Leave it bake in the fire of soul
Until dawn…
