The incident that happened at Bršljin-school around Novo Mesto in Slovenia was concluded with forced removement of Rromani children from the school. A group of slovenian parents have demanded this action. As ideological justification for this shamefull act was their convinction that huge concentration of Rromani children would bring in to the " danger" their kids. They found out that this is not a good environment for education of their own children. The state was in obligation to stop and prevent this kind of segregation of the Rromani children but it turned out the visible collapse of lawful system. Durring the so-called " Bršljan affair " many reports were published in different journals wich were supported by photo-material wich was represented the Rromani people as " cultural other" with attachments of many negative sterotyping judgements toward Rromani people. I have took 3 of different photos made in this period wich show an alternative approach. Instead a photography that capture the Rroma in an almost tipical outsider-representation: Rroma adults wich usually do nothing, much of dirrthyness around them and a high number of kids with focusing on details that could support and perpetuate this kind of negative immages, this examples of photography seems different to me and bring some hope in abandonning a collective judgemnts and turn to the individual persons, characters and their feelings as would be the case in making photografy of any other child.
