- Kozeta Zavalani (Qirjo) was born in Korça - Albania, on March 8, 1958 and lives in Tirana. She graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Tirana in 1982 and in 1985, was specialized in journalism. Kozeta worked in the Albanian Public Television and now is Editor in Chief of the magazine "Season for Change" of the "Family and Media - Power for Change" association, which she leads. She has been part of several training courses in the literary, publicity, Human Rights and Leadership.
Actual position: professional writer, poet, publicist, journalist, publisher. Member of the Albanian writers and artist’s Association, President of the LNPSHA “PEGASI” Tirana, ALBANIA, member of the International writers Association IWA. She is a member of International Federation of Journalists, World Poets Society (WPS), Union of Poets & Writers and Poets for Human Rights.
Reputation and awards
She was selected "Ambassador for Peace" by the Family Federation for Universal Peace she was elected president for Tirana from 2011 until 2013
She is one of the "Women of the World - 2007” selected by “Connect Us Communications Canada” with the caption "Editor and Mother, role model for women"
In 2009 was honoured with the second prize in the Meeting of Albanian Poets in Vushtrri
Winner of the "First Award" - in poetry by "Nositi" editorial magazine.
The Special Winner of the Balkan Poetry Evenings, in Korca, Albania and In "Poetry Korça Nights" in July 2010 won "Special Award" for literary creativity with a high artistic level, bringing the value of outstanding and sustainable in the field of poetry.
She was elected president for Tirana of The International Association of Poets, Writers and Artists “PEGASI” ALBANIA and “Distinguished activist of the Civil Society”
She has also cooperated with the Great Assembly for sensitizing the public opinion for the minimization of the phenomenon of Blood feud in Albania June 20, 2011 “Gjiri i Lalzit” (Bay of Lalzi, Durrës, Albania) with the participation of over 500 researchers, writers, poets, conciliators of blood feuds etc.
*In September 24, 2011 she will be he initiator of the poetic Manifestation “For a Different World” in Albania, and in all the countries where members of LNPSHA "PEGASI" ALBANIA live (around 80 states, compiler of the guiding programme of the Manifestation…, which includes 100.000 poets from about 80 states of the world
At the 22-World Congress of Poets in Larissa, Greece, Awarded to Kozeta Zavalani “Olympus Poetry Prize – “Demeter” “In recognition and appreciation of Exellence in Poetry” in June 2011.
The International Association of Poets, Writers and Artists “PEGASI” ALBANIA in November 2011 has given the high title "Pride of LNPSHA "Pegasi "Albania with motivation: " For percim dynamic contribution of new ideas in the literary and artistic, interpretive, being turned into a positive exampleof reference points for performance and progress "
International League of Poets, writers and artists "Pegasus" Kosovo has awarded the Medal of Gratitude for input and setting the values of genuine culture, in November 2011
Her poetries, especially those from her book “Migratory”, are published in the several periodical magazines throughout the world. During all this time she has published in the periodical literary press in Albania from the year 1977 in the magazines “Ylli”, “Nentori”, “Shqiptarja e re”, “Elegance”, as well in the newspapers “Drita”, “Zeri i rinise”, “Mesuesi”, “Bashkimi”, “Plus Gazeta e Athines shqip”, “Obelisk” ,“Nacional”, “Albania Daily News”, etc.
Kozeta is the iniciator of the “Pegasi” movement for a transformed Literature and a Universal exchange of Values”. She has taken part in some national and International literary activities. Winner of many International prices. Editor of a thousand literary works in Albania in every literary genres, as well motivator of the translation of the Albanian Literature in many foreign languages. Ideator and organisator of the national and international literary activities and the Civil Society in the more than 100 activities.
She has participated and represented and enabled the participation of LNPHA “PEGASI” Albania in Congresses of Literature, Literary Symposiums, poetic manifestations, scientific, literary and language conferences in Albania, Greece, Italy, Fyrom, Belgium, Norvegian, Hollande, USA etc where he has delivered speeches.
Literary works:
She was co-author in the 1976 book of poetry "First songs"
In 1978 volumes of stories 2-4-6 "Silent heroes”.
Between 1997-2002 published the periodic newspaper of PBWA "The Manager" and “Zeri i Arberit”.
In the year 2000 - 2002 volumes 1 and 2 of the book "Gra që më kanë frymëzuar" in Albanian and "Women who have inspired me” in English.
In 2005 she published the volume "Halfworld" in English
In 2007 the volume "Gjysmëbota" in Albanian, as well as the bulletin "Human Rights", a QSHDNJ edition.
In 2010 was launched the volume of poetry "Migrator".
Recently she is publishing the novel "Ankthi" and the Volume of poetry “Soul Gate”
She has given the high title "Honorary Member of the League SOE" with the motivatiIn: "For evidentiary skills to new experiences in the field of literature and art, we impulsion of young creative talent, not only from Albania, but also from countries others, we outline a method of contemporary mental product, the promotion of progressive values for the performance of the country ... "
She has written many articles, interviews and stories withsuccessful personalities of different fields of life, in the daily pressin newspapers and magazines and several of her books.
Participating in many TV shows for the media of increasing women participation in political and social life. In 2011 Kozeta is one of poets participants at the 50 Struga Poetry Evenings and her poems are includet in the book “Poetry from five continents”.

Democratic Transition will bring greater legitimacy and accountability and a democratic process allowing all to participate and work together for better recognition of the Roma Nation and the defeat of "anti-Gypsy" racism.
