Dear all: I just sent the follwing email to Roberto Malini and Dario Picciau . Wouldn't it be great if all of you could react in a similarly positive way ??? Thanks - Peter
Dear Roberto:
Khetanes Artists' Initiative informed me about the outrageous, in fact truly scandalous fact that you and Dario may be facing prison sentences for trying to oppose the frequent human rights violations of Roma in Italy. The Italian state and its judicial system should be deeply ashamed of itself for persecuting you for this reason, instead of persecuting the people who systematically violate Roma rights !
I am an independent jazz musician and a record producer for o.a. the Sinti Music Foundation in the Netherlands. And I am fullheartedly supporting you in your struggle for a just and righteous cause.
Keep your heads up with pride. You are doing the only right thing !
Yours Sincerely,
Peter J Krijnen

Dear Ema:
I am with you all the way!
My email is only telling me I get new thing here long after it is posted! But, I already sent messages to Roberto & Dario~
I am truly scared for my brothers and sisters in Europe...
Roberto and Dario are free, as we all know by now. This is more than a victory for justice, it is a victory for Europe's threatened democracy. This time things ended well, ut bon this very site there are members from other European countries who find themselves in a similar position because of the mere fact that they protect Roma rights.
Let's stay on the alert and protect those people who protect the basic values of Europe's civilization. The fact that they are not in prison is NOT enough. They deserve respect and appreciation. European politicians must realize that it is thanks to Roberto's and Dario's that Europe still exists as a coalition of constitutional states. Besides the economical and financial crises, Europe has a moral crisis. Once this is admitted, it can be solved.
Your words are so powerful Els. You speak such strong truths.
I don't know what else to say.
but najis tuke, phejorije
