Information
KHETANES JUNIORS facilitates individual and group projects for young Roma, 10-16 years old.
Proposed projects:
a. Facilitates (video) interviews about daily dreams, ambitions, fears, and life;
b. facilitates dream-goal development of each Khetanes JR. member, locally and nationally;
c. Spearhead letter writing campaign for "Roma"instead of "Gypsy" in school books.

Dear Roxana, dear all,
What about the following idea? Let's give children and youngsters from each country their own page, with the help of a coordinator. In this way BUCHAREST HIGHSCHOOL ANTI DISCRIMINATION CLUB could have its own Khetanes page, joining the Major Group of Khetanes Juniors as well. This is the most direct way to give the floor to young people!

Dear Els,
A webpage for children with an advisor in each country sounds like it could be amazing for many reasons in addition to mentoring youth to develop democratic, kind, truthful voice.
For example, this activity seems like it could be a fair, relevant, rigorous year long lesson AND assessment.
Also, to help harness the project, keep it safe (from internet dangers), AND make it legitimate and easy for teachers and their classrooms to use too: we can align "making a webpage with" easily with corresponding level (from preschool through high school) CORE Language and Math and technology national/state educational standards...and Social Studies...making a webpage would align with national/state educational standards in almost any course.
Thanks for sharing that idea, Els! It could be a righteous first year Khetanes Junior project that incorporates all 3 projects that Khetanes Juniors proposed for this year.
