I just wanted to write a very quick post and share my experiences of International Roma Day here in Scotland. I am a resident of Glasgow and I was part of a team of political activists who went out into the neighborhood (called Govanhill) where the majority of Roma live (3000-4000 approx). - we handed out chocolates, flyers and flowers and just generally tried to bring a smile to peoples faces, both Roma and non-Roma indiscriminately.
