Perhaps Ian told you I am gadji, or non-Romni, if you prefer. Fifteen years ago, as a writer travelling through Eastern Europe, I started to learn to know Roma communities. I do not belong to those who profit from you, neither to the Romantic movement. But your philosophy and kindness are dear to me. I met Romani bastards, but much more often I made friends. This and the fact that I simply cannot stand injustice explain why I do what I do. With pleasure and in all sincerety!

It's strange: we learn to know people with large distances between us, still, we feel similarities, share difficult moment and get attached to the others.

Sorry I didn't notice your friend request. I tend to just to follow the discussion groups through email notice. I'll try to be more attentive in the future.

You are right, we can communicate better here. As for a deadline, I haven't set one yet due to my own schedule being so tight. I feel we should just aim for "as soon as possible" and work in careful haste.

If you are moved to work on the "who" section, please feel free to do so. I think the who section should include a broad list of the members, not just the board, since the board will expand soon. We will need to consult with Els as to who has accepted the invitation to be a board member and how soon she will be adding to this list. We can put a positive spin on this by stating that we are growing daily and already we are a global organization, soon requiring a global board. We need to explain why these people are interested in being on the board, if we can. You will need to contact them and see if you can get a quote from each one and use the strongest ones in the pack.

And yes, you are right about a definition of our people as well, with positive examples. Please do not use Prseident Clinton. Yes, we can show he has Romani blood, but he is unaware of it and has no clue what the word "Romani" means in relation to himself. I had the opportunity to ask him, face to face. I was very disappointed. Are you familiar with Prof. Hancock's book "We Are the Romani People"? There is a Who's Who list there we can use. I'm not sure if this name is in there or not, but a Romani woman won a prize for chemistry...and I want to say that it was the Nobel Peace Prize, though I'm not possitive on that. I'll need to do further research. I know where to find it.

In the end, I think you and I should review the Press Pack together and edit it, then put it out to the group. Nais tuke for your help!

I am not that good in internetting and Facebook is not easy. Ning is easier. But I will do my best. I don't understand this guy. He is making career with his own People. That is worse than indifference.

Tonight I start trying to save the Cause and I will also post a new cartoon for the L:itmus Test idea: linking Hungary-Czech Republic-Romania. Lukas is helping to contact Vaclav Havel. I will also inform Yanko and ask him whether he wants to cooperate.
