Glenda, We are of like mind? You poor thing, put yourself on a strick drug regimen and you might feel better eventually. Hey, just kidding. But I get a little carried away on this site and have put a few people off. To much passion I guess. Thanks for your kind message!

Dear Glenda,

Sorry I didn't notice your friend request. I tend to just to follow the discussion groups through email notice. I'll try to be more attentive in the future.

You are right, we can communicate better here. As for a deadline, I haven't set one yet due to my own schedule being so tight. I feel we should just aim for "as soon as possible" and work in careful haste.

If you are moved to work on the "who" section, please feel free to do so. I think the who section should include a broad list of the members, not just the board, since the board will expand soon. We will need to consult with Els as to who has accepted the invitation to be a board member and how soon she will be adding to this list. We can put a positive spin on this by stating that we are growing daily and already we are a global organization, soon requiring a global board. We need to explain why these people are interested in being on the board, if we can. You will need to contact them and see if you can get a quote from each one and use the strongest ones in the pack.

And yes, you are right about a definition of our people as well, with positive examples. Please do not use Prseident Clinton. Yes, we can show he has Romani blood, but he is unaware of it and has no clue what the word "Romani" means in relation to himself. I had the opportunity to ask him, face to face. I was very disappointed. Are you familiar with Prof. Hancock's book "We Are the Romani People"? There is a Who's Who list there we can use. I'm not sure if this name is in there or not, but a Romani woman won a prize for chemistry...and I want to say that it was the Nobel Peace Prize, though I'm not possitive on that. I'll need to do further research. I know where to find it.

In the end, I think you and I should review the Press Pack together and edit it, then put it out to the group. Nais tuke for your help!

Baxt,

C

Hello Glenda, thank you for the invitation -- I just haven't examined the site and finally decided it was high time to do so!

Must get back to a paper and quit procrastinating. Glad I explored this site, though, and found your friend request!

Dear Glenda,

I, too, hope to be able to meet you - and Bódvalenke is fun also when there is no festival :).

Hi Glenda, please see my info on TEST EUROPE NOW - so we can only work with the lists we have - by the way, may be only I have been banned from that cause, could you probably have a look at causes, whether you still find the Artists Initiative against Romaphobia and Antiziganism? I will also ask Lucaz! Thank you for help.

Thank you. Oh, I do not rokker the Chib, in case you wonder.

I would like to help in any way possible but do not know how to do so.  What Els was referring to was International Romani Anti Defation League.  I do not understand what I can do to help in either that or in Rromanizor.

I have observed (and been involved in) more than one failed campaign against both TLC and Nat Geo in America, and one against whoever aired Law and Order.  I have seen more failed campaigns against Channel 4 in Britain.  I have seen your letter to Nat Geo before and, if they cared, it might have helped... but they do not.

I have never written other than informally.  My written skills lie more in prose than poetry, however, so, if you think my poetry is good, maybe my prose will suffice as well.

I write to let know about plans for the Jubilee World Roma Congress taking place in London next summer [1-5 August]. For the first time it will be possible for all members of our communities (over 16) to vote electronically in the elections in connection with this Congress, and whosoever wishes to stand as Candidates.

Democratic Transition will bring greater legitimacy and accountability and a democratic process allowing all to participate and work together for better recognition of the Roma Nation and the defeat of "anti-Gypsy" racism.
