Good morning everyone,

I have deleted the paragraph about the possible results of the demonstration, simply because when the letter was written, the demonstration was in the future. Past tense work deflates the meaning, so I removed it.

I will give this until 9:15AM Central Standard Time in the US, 24 hours from this posting, to allow people to sign. I will mail it tomorrow morning at 10am.

@Casimire: would you like me to create a temporary letterhead to send this on? Otherwise, I was planning to send it on O Porrajmos Education Society letterhead.

Baxt,

C

I support the letter, vi kado lil te marel godi le dushmanengi.
Just one suggestion: ''And in Romania, a bill is being prepared to force the Romani to refer to themselves as “tigan” instead of Romani...'' would better to be excluded, because this bill a) is not being prepared - Silviu Progoana had passed the draft law to the Parliament on 01.09.2010, b) on 09.02.2011 this bill was rejected by the Senate, and on 01.03.2001 the Commission for equality of chances of men and women at the Deputies Chamber rendered its negative decision, too (http://www.cdep.ro/pls/proiecte/upl_pck.proiect?cam=2&idp=11279 in Romanian)
Excuse my prolixity, a lawyer is always tedious. I specially monitor this issue since the first attempt in 1995, if somebody is interested I have a DB.
Devlesa, Niko

I'm glad of the correction, Niko! I had not heard it did not pass, and I am glad it didn't! I will remove that.
