c. Identifies current human rights abuses (e.g. MBFGW, American Gypsies, column Zsolt Bayer) and applies non-violent communication to confront the offenders.

Dear Alexandra,
Please follow the blog Brown Soup here. In UK and in Italy protests are prepared, maybe in other countries also. No, we cannot keep silence. Planned activities will be posted in the blog Brown Soup and in the Calender with Events. Keep courage and take care!
I used to be really active (coordinator) for this group. Haven't heard anything since the change over?
We were and are simply too busy reorganizing the site, still searching for extra coordinators. That does not mean, however, that our activities stopped.
Far right marches in Czech Republic, continuing deportations in France, racist language in Dutch weekly, documenting Roma in Sweden... More than enough reasons to stay on the alert.
And besides: Anti Defamation activities ARE successfull: the rector of the Corvinus University in Budapest apologized for the textbook. No, not to us, but at least he apologized in public this year. We were told by Agnes Darozci.
I would like to help your work ! :)
Dear Tini,
Many thanks!!!
Els

Harassment against EveryOne Group: a new appeal to the international civil society
On April 16, 2014 a trial will be held at the Criminal Court in Milan against the human rights defenders Roberto Malini, Matteo Pegoraro and Dario Picciau who are facing a charge of “defamation”. In 2008 they published a press release after a public hospital had refused to examine and provide treatment for a Romani woman suffering from a serious illness.
Treviglio (BG), 15/03/2014 - My name is Roberto Malini and I am the co-president of EveryOne Group, an international organization for human rights. During our difficult work protecting the most vulnerable people, we have suffered various forms of persecution from the institutions and intolerant and racist groups. Twice myself and the other two co-presidents, Matteo Pegoraro and Dario Picciau, have been charged with criminal behaviour. In the first case, after intervention from the OHCHR, FrontLine Defenders, the European Commission and dozens of Roma associations throughout the world, the charge of "libel" was dropped. On this occasion we had protested against the abduction of a Roma child from its parents by the social services in Pesaro. In the second case, we were acquitted. However, the legal pressure and the constant threats by intolerant people forced us, at the end of 2008, to move away from the city of Pesaro, where I, Dario Picciau, and other activists from EveryOne Group lived and worked. We have also suffered serious professional damage and have spent thousands of Euros on legal expenses for our defence, money that was never refunded. In the end this persecution forced us to limit our humanitarian work and today our group is unable to grow, because anyone who would normally be happy to collaborate with us is afraid of being legally persecuted.
